Phonemic Awareness and Phonics have become cornerstones of my educational philosophy in the last few years. With extensive training including a Masters in Literacy and LETRS training and Orton Gillingham soon I believe that direct, explicit, systematic instruction in PA (phonemic awareness) and Phonics is the KEY to helping ALL students learn to read.
